John "Rusty" Birkeland has served as a missionary in Macau, China, since 1980. Rusty is the pastor of Horizon Christian Fellowship Macau and serves with his wife Kitty and their four children Robert, Rachel, Heather, and Samuel. For over 30 years, the Lord has given him the strength and ability to serve the local people of Macau and to reach beyond its borders into mainland China to serve the practical and spiritual needs of the Chinese people. Dawn has had a heart for the Chinese people since 2007, and has lived abroad since 2011. Due to the covid epidemic, Dawn has returned to the U.S. and is currently serving with several pro-life ministries in Western Pennsylvania. She continues to serve the Chinese community there through post-abortion healing retreats for Chinese men and women, as well as mentoring and discipling international university students.
